PG Chamber Pleased with Government Decision on Site C

Dec 12, 2017 | Prince George

The Prince George Chamber of Commerce is pleased with the province’s decision to proceed with the Site C Project; small and medium size businesses in Prince George and the region will benefit from the economic impact of this project moving forward. “The Site C decision has huge economic implications for Northern British Columbia, and that definitely includes Prince George,” said Prince George Chamber President Corey Naphtali. “Along with the major construction contractors, there are many small and medium sized contractors and suppliers working on the project.”

There are currently over 2000 workers directly employed at Site C. Many more Northern BC businesses have been providing services to the Project. “There are many different types of businesses just like ours that have been involved in Site C in some way,” said Paul Bjorn, Prince George Branch Manager, McElhanney.  “The decision on the Site C Project also has implications for business ratepayers in the long term, just like it does for households.”
